English Translation:

To the director of Daiei

You will see that it is good that Glicos products don’t sell. We will soon have to drop off 8 of them. We are sure in a tough spot though, anywhere you go, there’s no Glicos. Quickly put them in the stores. As a token of good will I will put 5 of the total 8 in the first supermarket or department store. You tell the other supermarkets about this.

On May 17th 1984 this letter was received by Mainichi and Sankei Newspapers and directed toward supermarket chain Daiei located in Suita, Osaka, a previous seller of Glico products.

The envelope was postmarked in Osaka Center the day prior, between 6 pm and midnight.
