Summary of March 19th 1984:

At 1:15 AM, on March 19th 1984 a phone call sends Glico's Director of Human Resources to a phone booth where he discovered a ransom letter demanding 1 billion yen in cash and 100 kiligrams of gold.

On the evening of March 19th a phone call comes in to the home of Glico's Director of Human Resources directing police to bring the ransom demand to a restaurant. The criminals did not make an appearance at the restaurant and the police operation was ended with Katsuhisa still in the hands of the criminals.
